The short version

Blockshot: Hide & Shoot ("Blockshot", "we") is a game. The single-player campaign works offline and sends nothing to us. We don't use analytics, we don't ask for an account, and we never sell your data. Ads are shown by Google AdMob, purchases are handled by Apple or Google, and online 1v1 uses our own game server, as explained below.

What stays on your device

Your progress (level, coins, stars, characters, rifles, dances and power-ups), your settings (sound, haptics, language) and your Daily Challenge results are saved on your phone or tablet only. Deleting the game deletes them, and Settings > Reset progress clears them.

Online 1v1

Only if you choose ONLINE 1V1, the game connects to our own game server (hosted by Fly.io in London, UK) and sends:

We use this only to run matchmaking, private rooms, the rank list and player safety. There is no chat: players can only send a few fixed emotes. Players can report each other, and accounts with repeated reports are blocked from online play. We keep online data while you play online; ask us and we'll delete it (see "Deleting your data").

Advertising

Blockshot is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: an occasional ad between campaign matches (from level 10), and optional ads you can choose to watch for a reward, such as double coins. Ads are never shown in online matches or the Daily Challenge.

To show and measure ads, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device type and how you interact with ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the game shows Google's consent form before any ads, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy choices. On iPhone and iPad, the game asks for Apple's permission to track; if you say no, ads are not personalised with your advertising identifier. Google's use of data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Buying Remove Ads turns off the ads between matches.

In-app purchases

Coin packs and Remove Ads are bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google take the payment; we never see your card or account details. The game only receives confirmation of what was bought, so it can give you the coins or remove ads, and Remove Ads can be restored on a new device.

Ratings and sharing

The game may ask you to rate it, using Apple's or Google's own rating prompt. When you tap Share, your phone's share sheet opens and you choose what to send and where; nothing passes through us.

Children

Blockshot is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used online play, contact us and we'll delete that data.

Deleting your data

Progress on your device: delete the game, or use Settings > Reset progress. Online data: email support@blockshotgame.com with your online nickname and we'll delete your player record. Ad data: use Settings > Privacy choices, your device's ad settings, or Google's controls.

This website

blockshotgame.com has no cookies, analytics or trackers. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs to run and protect the site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK or EU GDPR, or Californian law), you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how it's used. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If the game starts handling data differently, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
